Adient Components – Global Machine Monitoring with Qlik Sense Reduces Downtime

Challenge

Adient’s Seat Structures & Mechanisms Business Group set itself the goal of centrally analyzing all of the approximately 1,400 machines in its more than 20 plants worldwide and creating international comparability using uniform metrics. Adient wanted to use Pareto analyses that identify problem areas and main errors and reduce downtime in an economically sensible way in order to manage quality assurance activities.

The existing QlikView installation is increasingly struggling with handling the amount of data in one app and with providing performant analytics. In addition to an aggregated view, detailed analyses of the individual machines and production shifts are to be made possible for plant management in the future.
